After the long flight from Singapore to Japan, I was welcomed into the home of a dear friend. She lives in Gunma, and her garden is beautiful. Right now, she is growing corn, zucchini, tomatoes, and cucumbers with her husband in their breathtaking garden. It is filled with flowers from around the world, and I enjoyed looking out the window everyday. She is very talented, and happens to be great at sewing, knitting, gardening, and glass making. For the short time I was there she showed me her beautiful quilt that she made, and we decided to make a mini one together. I enjoyed picking the materials, and matching the colors, but most of all, I loved the time I got to spend with her and her daughter. She has taught me so many things such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, and cooking, and I am very grateful for that. I had the best time visiting her home, and can’t wait until the next time I come to Gunma! Thank you for having me, I had an amazing time! Here I come Tokyo!
